On Thursday, April 26, 2012, the Race Relations & Diversity Task Force will present its 13th Annual Diversity Champion Honor Roll Breakfast. This community-wide event will be held at The Community House, 380 South Bates Street, Downtown Birmingham at 8:00AM (registration begins at 7:30AM).

We invite every business, non-profit, public agency or faith community of the metro Detroit area to give special recognition to one individual whose vision of diversity has created a significant impact on others. The honored individuals make an invaluable contribution by helping to ensure that all people feel included and empowered in the shared endeavors of your organization and in our larger community. Enrollment of honorees will be inclusive and non-competitive. This is your opportunity to recognize these individuals as Diversity Champions. Please submit your nomination form early as the event is limited to the first 40 nominations received.

It is the goal of the Task Force to build capacity among area organizations in relation to issues of diversity and inclusion, to stimulate adoption and implementation of express policies supportive of diversity and to promote the mission of the Task Force.
